In Europe such a technology is called a "rolling road", i.e. a vehicle transportation on a railway platform with lowered floor. Implementation of the contrailer transportation system to increase the efficiency of logistics schemes is a global trend. In the EU, they represent about 30% of all freight. The main advantage of the contrailer transportation is   the increase of the vehicles turnover rate by reducing the border crossing time, saving the vehicles engine life, reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere, reducing the roads load, saving on fuel and tolls.
